It was so hot last week that I thought that I would be cooked by Friday.Some people had thunderstorms which cooled the air down a bit. There is a nice breeze here now so it is much more pleasant.
The human Family don't like the heat much so are relieved that the temperature has dropped.
The birdbath has been drying out but Father human checks it every day and puts in fresh clean water.The birds all find it useful to be able to get a drink and even the squirrels use it.
You can see one of our pigeons having a drink here.One day the human Family were watching the birdbath to see who was using it.
It was one of the hottest days and even the wild creatures were feeling the heat.
Father had filled the bird bath up to the brim and the pigeons must have been waiting.
The pair of them raced down, but not to drink !
The next thing the Family saw was one of the pigeons sitting in the water - cooling himself.
The other pigeon came and sat on the side of the birdbath waiting for his turn to cool himself.
